Families will find it easier than ever to visit this year’s Isle of Wight Day events – thanks to a special bus ticket from Southern Vectis.

Taking place on Saturday 23rd September, Isle of Wight Day brings the local community together in celebration of everything the island has to offer – at the same time as raising funds for worthy local causes.

Nikki Honer, Southern Vectis’ Head of Communications has said:

“We know how important this occasion is to local people – and we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to join the fun, so we’ve created the ‘Isle of Wight Day Family Fare’ – offering groups of five people the chance to enjoy unlimited 24-hour travel together on our normal services at a much reduced cost for the duration. And children under five can also board for free.

“Those wishing to take advantage of the celebratory fare can simply print off a voucher from our Facebook page and present it to our drivers when paying.

“Our team is looking forward to a fabulous day, and we’re hoping this new initiative will see more people than ever enjoy the array of exciting events on offer – from food festivals and talent shows to street parties.”

The ‘Isle of Wight Day Family Fare’ costs a total of £15 and offers 24-hour unlimited travel for up to 5 people – working out at £3 each – across regular bus services, and is available to buy on Saturday 23rd September only. The offer is a £10 reduction off Southern Vectis’ standard 24-hour rover ticket. Terms and conditions can be found on the operator’s website and Facebook page.
