SLUG AND LETTUCE LOOKS SET TO OPEN ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT

2,175

The Island’s very first Slug and Lettuce could open in Newport if plans are approved by the Isle of Wight Council.

Earlier this year Stonegate Pub Company submitted an application to convert Yates in Newport High Street into a Walkabout Bar, however, a second application has now been submitted to change it into a Slug and Lettuce instead.

There are a total of 70 Slug and Lettuce outlets in the country, with the majority being in the London and South East areas.

Yates opened in 2003 and has been a big part of nights out in Newport ever since – that was until Fever & Boutique opened just a few months ago.
