Islanders are being asked to be on the lookout for anyone attempting to sell second hand chain saws following a recent theft.
According to Police, 4 Stihl chain saws, a toolbox filled with large spanners and a small petrol generator have been stolen from an outbuilding in the Chessell area. The theft took place at the Wood Yard site, on The Middle Road, sometime between midnight on Tuesday 14th February and 15:00 on Thursday 16th March.
The owner of the outbuilding had been away on holiday. When he returned he found the outbuilding had been broken into and its padlock missing.
