EXHIBITION AT QUAY ARTS TO SHOWCASE WORKSHOP ART

Visual art created during sessions with the Worker’s Educational Association (WEA) is to go on show at Quay Arts in Newport this week.

Simply entitled ‘Art’, the exhibition showcases a selection of work from WEA workshops where beginner and experienced artists meet throughout the year to learn, inspire and enjoy art and visual culture, and the company of others.

The exhibition runs from Saturday 6th January until Saturday 10th March at the Seminar Room, Quay Arts, Newport. All are welcome to a preview event on Sunday 7th January between 14:00-16:00.

The WEA was founded in 1903 and is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education, delivering 9,500 part-time courses for over 75,000 people each year in England and Scotland. It has the active support of more than 3,000 volunteers, 2,000 tutors and over 60,000 members.
