As of Monday 21st August, Southern Vectis’ Route 2, 3 and 39 buses will be diverted via the brand new Asda supermarket off St George’s Way, Newport.

The store’s opening means Route 2 (via Shanklin & Sandown) and Route 3 (via Ventnor & Shanklin) will now leave St George’s Way at the new roundabout and travel up the recently-opened spine road to serve the new bus stop close to the store entrance.

Route 39 (Newport) will also serve Asda, diverting from the bottom of Furrlongs via St George’s Way to and from the supermarket. In addition, it has been announced that Route 39 will no longer serve The Apex bus stop at St Cross Business Park, but will instead operate from Manners View turning left into Daish way and direct to Hunnyhill.
